Upgrade your Oracle database

If your site uses an Oracle database, you must upgrade it to Oracle 11 for TeamForge 5.4.

You can still use Oracle 10 (for example, if other applications require it and upgrading is too complicated) but CollabNet support only extends to Oracle 11.
  1. Stop CollabNet TeamForge.
    Note: If your site is running on multiple machines, stop all the machines.
    • /etc/init.d/collabnet stop all
  2. On the machine where your database runs, use the Oracle Installer to upgrade Oracle 10 to Oracle 11. For information about getting and using the Oracle Installer, see the Oracle documentation.
  3. On the machine where your TeamForge application runs, use the Oracle Installer to upgrade Oracle Client 10 to Oracle Client 11.
    Note: Be sure to keep your tnsnames.ora file.
You can now upgrade your site to TeamForge 5.4.
