Start CollabNet TeamForge manually

If you configured CollabNet TeamForge to start manually, start it after the TeamForge VMware image finishes booting.

  1. Log in as the root user.
  2. When prompted to run the CollabNet TeamForge configuration tool, type N, then hit Enter to confirm. Your CollabNet TeamForge configuration information and the URL for your CollabNet TeamForge instance appear.
  3. Start the Apache web server.
    • /etc/init.d/httpd start
  4. Start the CollabNet TeamForge application.
    • /etc/init.d/collabnet start
Note: Startup can take several minutes, depending on the speed of the host system.
Any user with access to the network where the host system is running can now get to your site via a Web browser.
  5. Advise your site's users to refresh their browser cache the first time they log into the new site. Use language like this:
"Welcome to your newly upgraded CollabNet TeamForge site. This release comes with significant look and feel improvements designed to make your experience more productive and intuitive. To make sure you are able to view all the new UI elements, please start by pressing Ctrl-F5 to refresh your browser."
Tip: You can use your site's Project News feature to do this. See Post a news item.
